School of Sensual Arts Yoga Teacher Training: Terms and Conditions

Trainees are requested to agree to all terms and conditions upon booking onto a yoga teacher training course.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have at least 2 years of yoga and/or personal development practice before embarking on The School of Sensual Arts yoga teacher training

• We will open the application process in autumn 2025 for the training to begin in autumn 2026

• The application process will be in 2 parts, the first will be an online application, the second part will be a video call to ensure that the student is a good fit for the course and is suitable for the training

• Applicants who do not meet these requirements, will be referred to practiced in our online community and/or to attend our in person classes to familiarise with the teachings

Booking

• A deposit of £525 is required on booking the training

• Payment plans will be available

• An earlybird rate will be made available for bookings by the end 7th Jan 2026 (subject to availability)

• Full payment should be made one month prior to the course start date

• We reserve the right to refuse access to the course which has not been paid by the required date

• In the event that your application doesn’t progress (written + video call format), we will refund £500 minus £25 administration fee

Fees include:

• Hybrid Online and In person Training in the SENSFUL method

• Assessment by School of Sensual Arts Senior Yoga Teachers

• Certification upon assessment through Yoga Alliance Professionals

• A full training manual will be provided to participants

• Cost of 2 meals per day, shared 2 person accommodation, filtered water + hot drinks during the in person teacher training

Fees don’t include:

• Books for required reading on the training

• Travel to and from the in person training location

• Insurance + visa during travel

• Additional extras such as snacks, smoothies, massages and travel to/from airport

• Optional upgrade to a private room (if preferred)

Refund policy

• The £525 deposit is non-refundable

• A full refund minus a 15% admin fee of the course price will be provided for cancellations, more than 120 days before the start date of the course.

• For cancellations made less than 90 days before the training begins, refunds or transfers are not normally possible. The only exceptions are:

  • If the course is fully booked and your place can be filled by someone on the waiting list.

  • If you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, pregnancy, or another health-related reason (including COVID-19) and can provide a doctor’s note. In this case, we will make every effort to fill your place from the waiting list or through another applicant. If we are able to do so, we will refund your payment (minus a 25% administration fee). If we are unable to fill your place, the payment remains non-refundable.

For the cases above we will refund the fee minus a 25% admin fee.

• To make a cancellation, an email needs to written to community@schoolofsensualarts.co.uk with the intent to cancel the space including the above documents of proof for refund.

• The date of the email communication will be used to apply the above terms.

Cancellation policy

• In the event that a course is cancelled you will be offered a full refund, or the alternative to re-book onto another 230-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course on an alternate date

• In the case of cancelled or missed transport (flights, trains, buses) we are unable to give refunds. Please make sure that you take out relevant insurance to cover you for these issues. If this means you miss training days, payment must be made for teachers to go over what was missed in order for you to certify

• Refunds are not available after a course has started and we cannot process these after 24 hours following the start of the course.

• We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason. This will only happen in exceptional circumstances (for example; government guidelines, force majeur or extreme sickness of our teacher’s) that means we cannot offer the course as advertised, or if there are insufficient numbers for the course, to make it viable for the teachers to teach the course. Should this happen, we will give notice as soon as possible, honouring opportunities for online sessions. You will have the option to re-book onto the next Yoga Teacher Training Course or workshop at a later date, or be offered a full refund. We take no responsibility for any additional costs that have been occurred for your travel, accommodation or rate of exchange loss.

GDPR agreement

• 'As a student of the School of Sensual Arts yoga teacher training course, I consent to the School of Sensual Arts ltd passing my contact details (name, email and phone number) to the certification partners, Yoga Alliance Professionals. I am allowing them to contact me directly and invite me to register as a Trainee and Teacher and Graduate. I understand that I have the option of opting out of this registration process. School of Sensual Arts ltd is satisfied that Yoga Alliance Professionals have the appropriate, adequate, technical and organisational measures to protect your data's security. They will never share your data with anybody else'.

Attendance

• 100% attendance is required of the online and in person aspects of the course to certify. 60 hours are taught online live, 80% is required to be experienced live. In the event that you cannot attend an online session, a recording will be made available within 24 hours of the session. All online teachings are required to be completed before the in person training. 20 hours are self study across the course

• 14 days training in India are required for certification

• 30 hours are required for the foundation+ spread across 9 months post training (around 3 hours per month for integration and continued learning)

• Both student and teachers are required to keep a log of attendance to each session

• If extensions are required for illness or extenuating circumstances, these will be communicated in advance and agreed with the senior yoga teacher

• If you miss online classes, in person training or need to resit assessments, you will be required to book catch up sessions with your tutors charged at £90 per hour. This could also include other students who have missed the same modules.

Complaint procedure

• We aim to provide a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all participants. If you ever feel dissatisfied with any aspect of the training, we encourage you to raise your concerns so that they can be addressed in a fair and timely manner

• You may choose to be accompanied by a friend, colleague, advocate or other support person during any stage of the complaints procedure.

• Stage One – In the first instance, we encourage you to raise your concern directly with the teacher or facilitator on the day, where possible. Many issues can be resolved quickly and informally through open conversation.

• Stage Two: If the issue cannot be resolved informally, you may submit a formal complaint in writing by email to community@schoolofsensualarts.co.uk. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 5 working days. Your complaint will be reviewed and a written response provided within 15 working days.

• While we cannot guarantee complete anonymity, we will treat all information shared as confidential and only involve those necessary to resolve the matter.

• Stage Three: If it is not possible to provide a full response within 15 working days, we will send you a letter explaining the reason for the delay and give you an expected date for the full response.

• All complaints will be handled respectfully, impartially, and without prejudice.

• No participant will be disadvantaged for raising a concern
