Our Why

Over our lifetimes, many of us will experience a disconnection from our bodies, pleasure, and truth. The School of Sensual Arts was born from a desire to support curiously minded seekers on their journey towards building deeper connection, expression and intimacy.

It offers immersive, educational and supportive spaces, both in person and online, where healing and sensuality can gently unfold. This is tender, intentional work, honouring the real, raw, and beautiful experience of being human.

Our Experiences

The School nurtures sensuality through transformative workshops in London, international retreats, accessible online courses, and an empowering global community. For those called to guide others, it provides a clear pathway into leadership through its teacher training and certification.

We are rooted in deep respect for the heritage, lineages, and philosophies behind every practice shared and pair this with a commitment of high standards of psychological and spiritual integrity.

Guided by the trauma-informed and culturally reverent SENSFUL® Method, the School honours the rich and diverse experiences that shape each of us, embracing all of who we are: alive, awake, and unapologetically sensual.

Our Founder

Meet Henika! She is a first generation Indian woman born in England and grew up in a household abundant in the ancient Indian arts, with an ex-monk turned artist father. After studying English and French law and experiencing numbness and depression following a series of losses in her family, she left law and returned to her roots where she spent several years living and studying tools for deeper connection, learning from incredible guides in India and the Far East.

The Matka

Our icon, inspired by the Indian homeland and the ancient sister sciences we share from, is the matka. A universal vessel made from earthen clay, the matka has been part of our ancestors’ lives across different lands. In India, it carries many meanings: in some places it’s called kumbh, the container of life or womb of creation; during weddings, it’s filled with sweets or grains to symbolise abundance; and in Ayurveda, drinking from a clay pot balances pitta and restores harmony to the body. The matka holds so many beautiful layers of meaning, and, most importantly, reflects the metaphor of the body itself. The clay pot represents the physical body, the water within it our life force energy, and its fragility the impermanence of existence. Our most impressive vessel.
